This bread is so simple to make but so impressive. It takes very little hands-on effort but does take some time, so make sure to plan ahead. This bread can be made the day before. Just let it cool completely after baking and wrap tightly with plastic wrap or put into a zip-lock bag or airtight container.
What proofing yeast means:
Proofing yeast is the process of testing the viability of your yeast by dissolving it in warm water with some sort of sugar. After about 10 minutes, the mixture will look a little foamy on the top. If you're using brand new yeast and you're sure it's good, you can skip this step.
